combat bad breath

No one likes to hear it, but it's worse not to know it: You have Bad breath.

Everybody has nasty breath at some point, like when we get out of bed in the morning. Many of us do not realize it most of us hate to admit it and a very few decided to do something about it. Bad breath can be embarrassing and makes it tough for people around us. Certainly bad breath can ruin relationships. I had a friend who ended her relationship just because she could no longer tolerate her boyfriend’s bad breath.  Fortunately, this problem is often easy to fix.

A majority of us resort to breath freshening products like mouthwash, chewing gum and mints. I make sure I carry mint where ever I go be it to work church or out with my friends. To me it is as important as carrying a cell phone. Mouthwash is widely used as we are unaware of the chemical toxins present in the majority of mouthwashes. The first step towards oral health is to keep our body hydrated additionally a diet low in sugar and rich in phytonutrients and anti-oxidants plays a very important role.

Bad breath can be caused by a number of different issues such as constipation, diabetes, liver problems, etc. The most common causes in the oral cavity include gum diseases, lack of hydration, low salivary pH, eating pungent foods (onions/garlic), and excessive oral bacteria.

How to fight bad breath :

Drink a considerable amount of water daily.
Avoid taking in food that cause bad breath such as garlic, onions, coffee, cabbage and certain     spices.
Smoking is a major cause of bad breath a check on that has to be kept.
Regular visits to the doctor to help you keep a track on the condition of your teeth and gums for good oral health.
The use of sugarless gum, mints, breath strips, or breath spray may increase the flow of saliva in your mouth necessary to keep it fresh throughout the day.
The most important is to brush your teeth at least twice a day and after every meal rinsing our mouth will help to a large extent.
Soak fresh cloves in warm water and drink it makes a terrific natural anti-bacterial mouthwash that destroys bacteria and freshens breath. Chewing on a clove also helps.

An interesting conversation can instantly make a turn for the worst when bad breath hops into the scene.Bad breath is curable provided we recognize the problem and take these steps towards banishing bad breath forever.
